YaQin Betty ChouPainter, Printmaker
YaQin Betty Chou is an installation artist interested in finding the 'truth' by exploring space, time and memory through the act of repetition. She participated in the "TRANS_" exhibit at the Queens Central Library in Jamaica, that considered the transnational movement of people, images and ideas and the multiple relationships world cultures have to one another. She was a Long-Term Key Holder recipient at the Lower East Side Print shop and has participated in art shows throughout New York City, Boston, Chicago and Venezuela. Over the past ten years, her involvement as an artist has extended outside the boundaries of her studio as a community social activist in the Lower East Side and youth art educator throughout New York.
